Our 11th and 12th students went into their first field trip this year. It was an activity from the environmental science class that is held by Ms. Morgan.
We went to Warm Colors Apiary, where we were given a tour and a lecture about honey bees. We saw the hives, learned about the challenges faced by bees and how important they are for human food supply and the diversity of plant species on earth
Then we went to an apple orchard and finally visited Mount Sugarloaf
And looked at land use and talked about our connection with the earth.
